Be very careful putting the lower unit back into the mid section.

There's a plastic water fitting for your water pressure (I believe) that's very easy to break. If you don't have the drive shaft lined up square on the first try, do not twist the lower unit to make it fit. That little fitting will shear off if it binds against the mid section. Pull the lower unit out and turn it a little by hand. It's a cheap part, but a real PITA to have to go back to the dealership to get another one (and hope it's in stock).
