I froze the quarters in the bag first then vac. I used all the juice in the pie and it came out good . Just experimenting with the whole pears . Seems easier and should be ok. I'll defrost in a couple days and see. Those are the eating pears , i ain't touch the cooking pear tree yet but the eating pears i find are more tasty for a pie and i'm just trying to preserve them the best way.
