Mark Carlise and crew were on the Bluewave this morning. A very foggy start which had us leave the Reel Inn well after daybreak. This was the crews first time on a charter trip and so the plan was to go after the meat fish by soaking shrimp. We hit two stops with a handful of fish in the K2 and then pay dirt. The crew started catching reds, drum, and heads right away. We even had a few trout hit the bait shrimp. In between netting and baiting hooks I chunked the Shrimp Creole Matrix to test for trout, I hooked a trout on the first cast. I caught a couple more and once I realized it wasn't a fluke The guys threw on the plastic. We got on a good bite and put 22 in the box before it slowed and the guys switched back to the bait shrimp. By 11:30 the K2 was stuffed. We caught another 8-10 heads with a handful of big nasty's that went back in the water before we called it a day. Conditions were perfect outside of the early fog. The bulk of our fish were caught in 6ft of water with the water temperature being 60.
