no I don't use them but take a good look at it in the store and see if it has a way to tighten the connection.
if its worth having I would think it should have a way that can adjust the movement.
my motor as it came doesn't pivot but it extends out about 24" so I never had a need for one of these
this option cost a little more but looks like it would be easier to tighten it (looks like a nut and bolt connection to arm) to hold any position you put it in
