The blocks are filled with concrete and hold up good man. There are t posts in each corner block. They are two foot in the ground with a six inch slab poured and the hole in the block is filled with concrete.
I can run it up to 350 or so if I have dry wood and really feed it. I do most of my cooking around 275 though.
