I just asked this same question a few months back about braid and I was reluctant to change but finally did. I was breaking off too many fish with mono in tournaments. Made the swap to Power Pro super slick and won't go back now. More feel on bite and control of fish once it's on I love it. That's just my feedback of the recent change
