I picked up a English lab 18 months ago in Mississippi. Read good things about them, paid 1200. Beautiful Red Fox color. I've never seen a smarter dog. For a long time I was concerned about her drive, then all of a sudden at 10-11 months BAM! You couldn't stop her. Had a guy training her and she was progressing great, and would have been ready for duck season last nov. but ate rat poison and we almost lost her. Started training again in Feb. and she was well on her way, then disaster hit....she has BAD hip dysplasia. Now she's a house dog. So I can't recommend where we got her. They specifically said none of their dogs ever had dysplasia. I don't know enough about it, but we're disappointed for the dog. She loves to fetch, but after playing she can't put weight on her rear leg.
