Turn the key off and then restart and it runs fine. I am convinced the issue with my truck is the high pressure fuel pump on the engine. When I say mine is 3 times louder than any other I really mean it. I have had people ask me if my truck is a diesel in a half ton. The ticking of my pump sounds like a kid beating an empty pie plate with a metal fork. All 3 dealers say its one of the loudest pumps they have heard but GM will not allow them to change it. There is no spec for noise so its "working as designed" !!!!
I wasn't asking in that type of manner. I was just curious to know if the light ever came on because my truck would run ****ty for 2 days off and on before the service light came on. Once the service light came on then the stabilitrax would disengage and thats when it started shifting abnormal and so on. Another reason i was curious is to see how similar these issues are. I bought my 14 as soon as they came out and am curious if its a problem with some of the first launched trucks. Several people I know have 15 and 16 models and havent had any issues.
