I must have the only good 9" flex that bubba blade made. I use my bubba blade every weekend and have been for 8 months now.

However... I also have a buck fillet knife, which I will say holds a longer edge. With that, I have a habit of running all my blades down a stone after each use. The main reason for this is that I have been working on charter boats and cleaning countless snapper, cobia, reds etc for many years and have yet to own a knife that can last an entire cleaning process of 20 or more fish. My stone is always with in arms reach and I will run the blade down the stone after every 10 or so fish regardless.

I like the bubba blade, and for no apparent reason I use it more so than my buck, but if I had a choice, I would stay with my buck. I have only owned 1 buck and have had it since 1987, and buck is so good about backing their product that when it goes bad (will no longer hold an edge) they replace it no questions asked.

This is the buck I use.

Good luck
