Paul iremonger and his son from Seattle joined me today for a catch and release trip. As soon as the big Yamaha shut down and the MotorGuide Xi5 was deployed it was fish on!! Nice trout were hitting the deck. I kept enough for myself for supper and everything else was released. We drifted down a bayou catching trout the entire way on Ultra Violet Matrix Shad, tight lined with a slow retrieve. I moved to a 3 ft reef and instantly started catching nice 14-17 inch trout. We had a few keeper reds mixed in also that were released. After catching 50 plus trout I brought them to soak some shrimp and we caught some puppy drum, bay snapper and reds. 100% success as the guys had the time of their lives. Thanks to my good buddy Capt Kyzar for setting up this trip.
