I worked with some patrol guys, they told me 90% of the time the bust someone its by accident.
He said one time they stopped at a marina to get lunch, they were walking back to their boat and a guy was sitting out on the deck of his sailboat. As the Coastie were walking up the guy shook his head and says "yall got me, I'm not even going to resist" And walks into his boat and comes out with a bag of weed. He said we were just like.... okay. I asked what happened to him the guy. Coasties told me all they did was make him dump it into the water and they hurried up and left. They didn't feel like doing any paper work.
