I think they work great, the one problem I have had, is that I have 2 units on the back. At times when I use both units in a cross wind they get tweaked or bind when trying to retract and the boat twists them form the cross wind. I have to wait till the boat moves back into a natural pole position.
For this I have installed a selector switch, 1, 2, or both. Actually used a battery selector switch.
