Default Where was the CCA representative for this event?

I saw no mention at all if CCA was present here or had anything to say about it. this is an example where if CCA wanted to be visible and let people know they are out there working for us they should have went find someone to voice an opinion or make a statement "for the record" so their view was represented. I honestly have no idea what their position or viewpoint might be here but isn't that the whole point and another reason why people have no faith they are doing ANYTHING but building reefs and taking photo ops? a press release like this should mention and have a statement by CCA in it somewhere and its not a well kept secret this is happening. if you want people to change their views of you you need to be visible, get with it CCA.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — One way to get anglers and commercial fisherman to use devices to save sea turtles, dolphins and off-limit fish is to have them help design and test those devices, scientists told turtle scientists and conservationists — members of the International Sea Turtle Society.
Mike Osmond of the World Wildlife Fund described the International Smart Gear Competition contest to create gear for reducing bycatch — anything a commercial boat or angler isn't trying to catch. There's a $30,000 grand prize, two $10,000 prizes and two $7,500 prizes. This year's deadline for entries is Aug. 31, he said.
