I didn't try them all, but I never found an all terrain tire that worked well off road. A good pair of mud tires and a locking differential will enable a 2WD pickup to go places most 4WDs with all terrain tires can only dream about.

A good 4WD (ensures torque to all 4 wheels) with mud tires can do some impressive things. I used to pull a 7000 lb trailer (loaded with hay or spent brewers grain or fencing materials) through all manner of snow and wet pastures to get the job done.
