Ah.... The blistering punch and speed of "Battery", the oddness of "The Thing That Should Not Be", the picture that gets painted for the ears in "Orion", and the deal that gets sealed in "Damage, Inc."...
And all in-between is classic thrash metal.
Cliff Burton had to be the last true heavy metal Hippie.
"Garage Days" and "...And Justice For All" kept the torch lit (saw em twice on this tour), and then they fizzled trying to dumb it down.
"Kill 'em All" is still my favorite of theirs, though. That is hungry young metal.
