Default SMI Report

We went 70 miles out of the pass from Cyp Pt on Saturday 6/2/12. Seas were a little more than expected but calmed as the day went on. First rig was SMI 90 I believe and we immediately started hooking up 3-4 at a time but fish were in the 6-8 pound range. We made a jump to another satellite that was holding bigger fish and put our 16 Red Snapper in the boat with in 40 minutes. The biggest was a little over 15 lbs smallest was 8 lbs. We trolled a few rigs to try and get a king to strike with no luck. We headed in a bit and picked up 6 real nice mangroves. The biggest mangroves I've ever caught added one 43 lb Ling and headed in.

The other boat from our crew went to the Vermilion block and did about the same. They had to weed through a lot more smaller snapper but they had a real good trip and had a couple nice ling also.

Pic 2 - Fish from Sunday, I did not go out with the guys on this trip.
