Default Venice offshore

Sheldon came back and we had a front run through. Eddie, Mike ,and I were the only 3 that left the dock. Needless to say we could only make it into a protected bay. Eddie had to turn into the bay as soon as he left the pass. The Beam seas were not favorable for the 36 contender. Mike and I were able to go to a nearby rig in fairly deep water and pick up some fish. He found a couple of amberjack. My guys surprised me with 2 cobia. The red snapper were thick but before we left we managed an amberjack also.

With one chumming and winds getting higher we went into calmer waters. The red snapper were all over the place.

We tried one rig and it was even rough in there. Mike snapped his rig tie up line in the rough waters. The crew opted to call it and head for the dock.

The next day we went for redfish It was still rough and the pick was tough.

The following day as I was picking up my boat 2 guys approached me and we made plans to do an offshore and 2 inshore trips. We got out just as the early bite was ending. I did manage to get the skunk off the boat early.

Each guy at least caught one yellowfin in between all the sharks.

We did manage to get a whole blackfin to the boat but some others and bonito were not so lucky. We added a pair of nice amberjacks to the batch and in we went.

At least we had a few things to hang.

Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
