I don't recall an outboard motor repair shop anywhere near Lafayette High.
The only business that comes to mind is the Corner Pantry on Foreman.
David Willet did have one on Surry St., near the Airport. That building was formelly occupied by "The Sportsman", now in Abbeville. He moved that business to Butte la Rose in the 1970's. His son moved to Orlando, FL and opened one there. David passed away a number of years ago.
My nephew, Bill Amy, does have a shop on Johnson St. behind Doug Ashy's. "Master Marine".
