Matt, you obviously never hunted w/ Jagdterriers. The object is not to get hit by the hog, thus they are bread to be quick and nimble and spend more time driving the hog nuts, then they do licking their wounds! I ran catahoulas and feist for a long time, headed the fact they had to wear cut vest becasue they were to slow to catch a cold when a hog was charging them. The protective gear was bulky, hot and they could not hunt for long in the heat. These little dogs don't need all that and will out last you Plotts all day. As for catching, I leave that to my buddies Bull Terrier and Dogo!
