one thing about saltwater boats, they are money pits, the bays and gulf will break and wear out things you never imagined. Your better off talking a buddy into buying one and you pay the fuel.

it is cheaper to hire a guide every month, BUT, doing that can never replace the sense of accomplishment and fun of being captain of your own ship!!!

if it were me I would find a 1-3 year old hull with a 4 stroke or 2 stroke direct injection power, aluminum trailer, that way you don't take the hard hit on resale, plus most of these boats already come rigged out with trolling motor, jackplate, electronics, power poles, etc.
