I had great success with Spitfire 125 grain mechanical broadheads and Easton 2219 bolts, after trying lots of different fixed blades with poor results. Even if you think you have everything tuned and dialed in with fixed blades, a bit of wind changes everything. If the wind doesn't blow, you can do well with fixed blades out to 25 yards. I'm sure some guys learn to dope the wind with them.
