My company vehicle is a chevy 5.3 z71 4x4(2015), and I mainly tow a Polaris ranger around, which it pulls good, but when I hook up to one of our work boats which are probably 8-9 thousand pounds, it pulls like ****. I wouldn't buy this truck and motor combo for pulling anything heavier than 5-6 thousand pounds.

Personally I have a 2013 3.5 ecoboost, and it pulls fantastically, but I haven't hooked anything nearing max load, just my 22' bay boat. I know it pulls significantly better than my 08 chevy 5.3 though. My brother has a 2017 gmc 1500 with 6.2, and my ecoboost will pull on par with it when pulling the bay boat. I've heard of people pulling 5th wheel campers with their ecoboost, and that it did well but no personal experience.
