You also don't have to use the warn solenoid. We used use the old ford solenoids on our 8000lb warns. It took 4. 2 on the forward side & 2 on the reverse side. A small winch should only need 2. One on for forward & one for reverse. They used be only bout $12, Probably no more than $20 now.
