The only time I really played was on a night shift Plant turnaround.

There was a group of "foreman" that took off a few minutes early for each "break" to play. After a week, I started watch. There were 3 guys that really knew how to play and 3 or 4 others.

When a couple of the guys stopped playing, I took their place. I held my own and won some in the next couple of weeks. But when a couple other stopped playing [because they were loosing], I did not know enough to out play these other 3 guys. I stopped after a couple more nights.

It has been a long long time since I played any poker. But the last time was when my BIL asked if I wanted to join in with 2 of his friends.

This was just a "friendly" game.... maybe nickel ante and quarter max bet. These 2 guys really did not know how to play and there was beer involved. It got embarrassing how much I was winning in this game. I started loosing on purpose after a couple hours and still left up $ 25+ in this small game.
