crazy is crazy, he may have just shot them for talking through the movie and refusing to shut up
I've seen many fights over stupid stuff so if he is disturbed mentally and something set him off, it could be something as simple as that, or just pure randomness, not sure how we would ever know unless he left a note explaining why he went shot somebody
