Used to fill the boat with soft shell turtles in north LA in a creek behind camp. Makes excellent table fare although we left the cooking to an old coonass named Mike. Really wish I would have been more involved in the cooking process but after cleaning 100+ lbs of turtle meat it was time to hit the whiskey
