HEY, something I can help with! lol It's a resurfacing job, not an overlay (and they will also mill and patch any problem spots such as the approaches). The resurfacing is to increase the friction rating as the stone at the surface gets polished by everyday traffic and becomes quite slick. It's basically a way to extend the life of the road without having to completely rebuild it.
