Default My new blade

Second year of gator huntin I broke a knife someone gave me about 10 years ago, being an idiot I shanked a gator that had a little more life to it than I was comfortable with. So the guy I was with bought me this usually to flashy for my style so I doubt I use it but it's greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about framing it and keeping it for a hand me down what do y'all think?

I'm not sure, I know it's a bunch of metals that are heated up and hammered together, and that's what samurai swords are made out of. From what I understand, it's a hard metal on the outside and a soft metal on the inside, so when a samurai would strike something it would absorb the blow instead of shattering like glass.

Good to know if I get in a sword fight lol but it was pretty sharp when I got it so I put it across this leather sharpener I have and it will split frog hair now
