Cheating goes on all the time. Star tournament and speck shootout. I fished the shootout one time with my son and witnessed one of his friends weigh in a fish his dad caught after seeing it wouldn't hold up in the adult division but took 1st in youth. Pisses me off to even think about it. Its all about winning at any cost. Not about the competition. Well his boy learned a lot from that. He's now a drug head!

Trout shootout over the years has been full of that. 5 yr olds weighing in 5-7 lb trout. I've never let my kids weigh in one of my fish, so they never win anything unless it is very windy and nobody can hardly catch a trout. They are glad to just weigh in what they caught which might be just a 12-14 in speck and get a shirt. They are proud of that shirt because they earned it.

BINGO, dad...good for you!! Chances are they won't forget things like that, either.
