Default Big Lake Sat / Sun

It?s been a while. I?ve literally only been on the lake once since early December. It was a good hunting season and now it?s time to chase trout. But man, the lake is muddy. That muddy lake and a good east wind had everyone stacked, trying to find decent water and a protected bank. I️ fished from dawn to 10:30 without a bite. It was a bit discouraging. I hadn?t run all my traps yet but was really now only hoping to prevent a scratch. Thought about giving up on trout and beating banks for reds but that didn?t excite me much. So I️ made a big move and it paid off. Found some fish. Muddy water. lil jons. SLOW on the bottom. Limit at 1:00.

Figured I?d get up Sunday morning, mosey on back, and lay he smack down again. Uhhhmm, not quite. Different day, different story. The fish were still there but were harder to catch. Super finicky and not eating it good. Grinded till about 1:00 and had to scoot. 12 trout, 5 reds. Lil jons.

Nice Job bobo!! I was there Saturday and between the muddy water and strong winds, bites were hard to come by. Glad to see someone figured it out. Thanks for the report!

Very nice haul! Headed to bl Fri for the first of many weekends fishing there. I'm sure it will be muddy but winds should be lax
