Default Another Day in Cocodrie

Today I had 2 guys from the Dakota Decoy company and they knew the adverse conditions we would face but wanted to get on the boat and give it a go anyway. I ran out to the islands along with Capts. Josh and Chris and we knew it would be a tough day. I had 100 live shrimp. We bounced around the island but never found what we were looking for. I decided to gamble again and go to the next island and although we took a beating, it paid off. At 11:00 with only 1 trout on ice, we found a nice little bite and started stacking the trout. Most came on plastic with a few doubles and a few were caught on shrimp. I never would have thought we would have caught 40 trout today but stranger things have happened. It was a great day with some great folks. Big thanks to Capt. Chris for setting up the trip, even though it was at 9:00 last night!
