Default Pistol ???

Anyone up on gun laws?
If i build a pistol ,rifle or shot gun from scratch.
Mill all the metal parts and assemble it .
Can the police seize it for lack of a serial number???

friend just had 5 hand made pistols seized that he made from blocks of metal .
got stopped for speeding told leo he had pistol in car . cop seized it and got a warrant to search his house on a fire arms violation and took the rest. Funny thing is, he had rifles that he made that had no numbers and they didn't take those.
I told him to call a lawyer 1st thing monday morning.

There is no licensing of fire arms in La. Or do you mean as a builder?

The best thing is to contact ATF and they can tell you what you need to do to be legal. I do know it is a state law in LA that you can not poss a handgun without serial numbers. Rifles and Shotguns fall under a different categories. Hope this helps.

Don't do that, they'll just send you letters asking for money to fight anti gun potlickins every week. I was a member for a year, 4 years ago and I'm still getting letters.
