Default Cold frame???

I usually put my plants out during good days which ain't too many this time of year so I got me a cold frame . Besides a freeze how low of temps. does a cold frame protect ? Suppose to be 38 tonite so I took them out and will put back in in morning . It's against my house on south side on a table.

That's a pretty cool box. Did you make it? I'm not sure about the temps it depends on the plant but you could always put a small light bulb in there with a timer.

I picked it up from Park Seed on sale .I wanted to make one but couldn't find any windows . I left a couple in last frost and it didn't seem to bother them . I start my seeds indoors and I'll put them in here after I cup them so all I should have to worry bout if frost .
