Default Anyone ever see a torch like this?

My wife's grandpa was cleaning out his shed and found this. He said his dad used to use it to burn the tree lines. I think the plunger needs to be replaced, but other than that it looks functional.

Yes I've seen one of those, I seen a guy burning the marsh with it in Dularge about 15 years ago.

He was going to toss it and the pack rat in me wouldn't let him. It just looked too cool! The instructions are hard to read, but I'm assuming you just put your fuel in and light her up. Is this correct?

Fuel is probably kerosene and yes, just light it up.

Something like that is also used for control burns, after a forest is harvested, or to start a control burn in an unharvested forest.

They walk a circle around the area to burn, causing it to burn to the middle.
