When You are Shown Your Blessings
The wife and I went to the Shell station for gas like we do weekly. There was a guy hanging around the pumps and the people getting gas. That kind of activity makes me really start paying attention. When I realized he was digging through trash cans looking for food my heart sank. I thought about my family and how blessed we are. Yeah if things come up we may have to move some $ around but at the end of the month we have a roof, bills are paid and there's plenty of food on the table. Poor guy wasn't 100% there but nice as can be. He was trying to get home and waiting for his sister to come from Laffeyette to get him. He started crying when my wife walked him into the wendys by the shelll station. Sorry for the fb post. |

I struggle with a lack of compassion for homeless people because the rational me knows that these people are in the positions they are in due to a series of poor decisions they have made in their lifetime. You could give them a million dollars and they'd be living under the same bridge two years from now. BUT the Christian me knows I have to help them so I do. Good job Duckman, you did the right thing!!
Matthew 25: 35-36 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me |

I know there are varying opinions of me on here and I understand that. What I saw today broke me down so bad. To show his character he ordered a 4piece nugget so we didn't have to spend much. $1.19. Wife wasn't having that.lol. He ate good. I hope he's home now. |
