Default GM Class action

Anyone here share the experience of the latest class action concerning false fuel mileage ratings(as stated on window sticker)for the 2016 Traverse-GMC Acadia-Buick Enclave?
Got a letter from Chevrolet yesterday, offering me from what I'm assuming is a settlement, of $750 or their premium extended waranty program-my choice. At first I thought is was a no brainer-take the $750. Yet I go on this websight as directed on the letter, and it talks about a class action lawsuit. Their offering is based on owning the vehicle for 5 years, and the extra costs involved to due incorrect numbers. And that's fine...assuming I don't keep it longer than 5 yrs. The online doc. also points out that some people may not have even made the purchase-or may have made a better deal had the numbers been acurate. My question to anyone that knows the legal aspects of this kind of thing, take the settlement offer or wait it out? What are normally the steps involved?

I found out that recommended oil changes are being extended not due to better oil, but reduced oil changes reduces the carbon footprint over the vehicle lifetime, demanded by the EPA. The auto companies do not care about reliability
