Default 2015 Gmc sierra

Being that they have been out for a little while.... how's it going so far for those that have one? Is there any problems with the new engine? Besides vibration issue , which I have an idea what that could be.
How does do towing?

I don't tow much (16' express) but I just bought one a little over a month ago and love it. Taking some getting used to as I'm coming from a duramax with a tune. Overall a great truck and no vibration. Just under 3000k miles on it now.

Just traded my 2014 GMC in for a 2015 F-150. Loved my GMC, though. Towed my boat great. They offered me too good a deal on trade. Gave me $33,000 for my GMC with 45k miles and I'm a sucker for the latest and greatest truck!

Hadn't had any vibration issues. Just got mine last week.
Only issue I have is accelerator seems hard. You have to stand on it to get it going. My Tundra was very responsive compared.

That doesn't sound normal. Mine is very smooth.

I have 2, 2014 SLE and Denalli. Around 25,000 on each. After getting past the initial recalls, all seems good. Both the 5.4 and 6.2 engines seem to tow my 24 Champion and utility trailers well. No vibration issues yet.

The pedal is hard to push, but once you get used to it, you won't realize it until you drive your wife's car. Ha

they are beautiful trucks, I hope you get a good one but don't fool yourself thinking you know how to fix or solve a vibration issue, just test drive as many as it takes to get one that doesn't vibrate on the test drive.

look for a very smooth road and drive between 65-70 mph and speed up and slow down a few times as that can trigger it. if you feel no vibrations, then its one of the good ones.

I noticed mine was whimpy and weak when pulling out because its always in 4 cylinder mode so you have to mash the pedal to kick it in v8 mode to make it pull out like you normally do with your old truck. I hate that v4 mode but im told you can get a tune to lock it in v8 mode.

Coming from driving a staight v8 to a vehicle with fuel saver tech. It's different!!
If you havent drivin a vehicle with the fuel saver technology. That could be the problem. I have a hemi and depending on how light or hard you press the gas. A certain rpm range (1000-2000 rpm) activates it which causes the engine to keep switching etc. My hemi has a slight vibration like bc Of that. If I put it in 5th gear which deactivates fuel saver tech. And it doesn't do that.

Try that keep it in 5 gear and see If it still vibrates. The put it in drive which activates the cylinder shut off and check again.

Have had mine for a couple months now. (Z-71 4x4). No vibration issues, surprisingly good gas mileage, and tows my 22' NauticStar like it was nothing. But what sold me was the lifetime powertrain warranty.

Transmission went out in my 07 last week, so I bit the bullet and picked one up. Couldn't justify dumping anymore money into my old one. No vibration issues so far and the response time when you mash out is a lot better than my 07 was.

That lifetime power train warranty is only available at Martin GMC in Lake Charles. Something they do different than others, but beware their service after the sale is pretty shoddy. Just my personal experience after getting rid of a '14 Sierra z71 with only 9k miles. Won't stray from Toyota again.

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 SLT bought brand new. I will not own another GM vehicle. My dash board has multiple cracks in it, and 3 out of the 4 electric door locks do not work. The starter went out at 100k miles, and the paint on my door handles is chipping off. Poorly made vehicle. Toyota sets the standard, and will be my next truck.

On the 2014's, it is rarely in v4 mode. Only when steady cruising at a certain speed with no incline. At idle its in v8 mode.
