Default Calcasieu Next weekend

Hey everybody! Super pumped we will be staying at Sam Houston on the Calcasieu next Thursday through Sunday. If anybody wants to hang out, drink some beers, or watch some crazy Cajuns going off on some kneeboards hit me up!

Also how's the fishing right now? Probably going to try and get some bass/ perch fishing in. Anybody have any tips for success right now?

And anybody know the water condition and temps?

We will be on the Malibu on the river tomorrow! If anybody's out stop by and have a beer, we'll either be barefooting or knee boarding.

Wow, 400+ views and no responses.. That ain't right lol.. Try speed craws in watermelon red and gene larue ringworms black w/ chartreuse tail. Look for cuts with moving water, if you can't find that, just beat the banks. Water is probably high and muddy. Hope ya'll have a great weekend

Didn't get any fishing in, did have some great ski sets! Water was muddy and a little high.

Boat broke down Saturday night trying to get back to the park when the lightning storm hit. Luckily we were near Perkins ferry road and found some great people that let our women and children get out of the storm and gave us a ride to Sam Houston to pick up the truck and trailer and come get the boat! Overall a great weekend.

I don't think I've seen that much boat traffic outside of contraband days in my life! And water police were out all weekend as well.

What if it's the good kind of skiers? That don't ever power turn, keep the music down, and avoid where people are fishing? 😁
