Broke knee cap...

Anybody ever had a broken knee cap ? I don't mean fracture , I mean broke in at least 3 pieces . When does the pain slow down at least ? Been in a brace 2 weeks and if not fusing back together next tues. got to get wired. Cannot bend for at least another 6 weeks. Be nice to know how long this pain gunna last.......

A couple years ago, one drunken night on vacation in Florida, I slipped on the tile in the condo an pretty much landed with all my weight on my right knee.. The next morning it was swollen and hurting and just by touching it I could tell my knee cap was shattered. It was pretty painful for about a week but slowly returned to normal and I never went to the Dr... To this day it still doesn't feel "smooth" like my left knee cap..

Had left one cut on for a infection to irrigate, never been the same. God's speed on recovery.
