Default 22 blow out

went to the "shooting range" last weekend, my dad was shooting his pistol and had what he though was a jam when he looked in the chamber he found this, one of the casings blew the back off, this is the first time this has happened, i think it was a winchester round, cause that is what the others were that were in the mag at the time

I had that happen last year in my Henry .17. Blew the action open and everything. Sparks and powder in my face and whatnot. Don't remember what kind of bullets it was though.

Seen this only 2 times before. Both never messed up the gun or the shooter.

Glad everyone and thing is ok.

My Henry .17 did this as well. Think it was CCI ammo had to use a cleaning rod to knock casing out of the barrel.

To keep your dad safe, you should send me all of the remaining 22 ammo he has so they can be disposed of properly.

Hornady ballistic rounds. The only ammo I shoot in my 17. To date, I've never had any issue with their ammo in that rifle.
