I own both. Not much difference in kick, .35 is a little bit less, but not much.

Default 35

Bought one and used it for the entire season. Lost zero deer-tracked one about 2-300 yards and left a trail like spray paint. Kick takes some getting use to but not bad once shot a few times. I can't shoot it free hand but deadly from a rest. Even got 2 last year shooting offhand. I shoot 200 grain Remington and topped with a Barska. No regrets with it except the sticker shock to by box of shells LOL.

If you still have the box of 250gr, I'll take em off your hands for the price you paid. PM me

I have this gun in .45-70 and love it. great shooting guns. never shot the .35 but the recoil from the .45-70 isn't bad at all. I also have one in .270 that punishes me every time I shoot it. I was expecting it to be the other way around.

I'm liking the 35, it's all I pretty much used this season. It has plenty of knock down power and will shoot 200 yards flat.
