Thats close Gooh. Two handed grip and squeeze the trigger with your pinky. Its a little more difficult if the gun has a grip safety like the XD or 1911. Keep your wrists cocked out or the slide will make em bleed.

The Springfield XDS 9 and, 45 are 3.3" barrels. The 45 is a 5 +1 capacity whereas the 9 is a 7 + 1 capacity. They weigh the same and, the frames are identical.
