Big LAWGS on the Du 5-3-14

I helped out Capt T Miller today with a two boat charter. Tim and Sharon Howell jumped onboard the big Bluewave with me at the lodge. We were off at daybreak and arrived at our first location to find big schools of mullet over a protected reef. The big trout were piled up under the mullet and could not resist our Green Hornet Matrix Shad tight lined. We had the big girls coming in the K2 in steady spurts. Tim even hooked a nice red that was busting up the mullet. When the action played out. We moved locations and found the big trout again at our third location. The action wasn't fast, but it was steady!!! My crew had a blast reeling in all the big trout, and were a pleasure to fish with! No limits but the big quality fish made up for it!!! It was a incredible day to say the least and it was so great to finally see the specks bust loose today. The bite should only get better from here on out as long as the weather cooperates for us. All our fish today were caught tight lining the Green Hornet and Tiger Matrix single rigged and double rigged. Thanks guys for a splendid day and thanks to Capt T Miller for setting up the trip.
