Never tried tonys but have nortons on all my rods....love em..anybody locally sell em around lake charles or sulphur..

I have used Norton's a good bit and never had an issue with any lure coming off.
It is so dang hard to get a lure on the ones I had, I don't know how anything can
come off of them.

I got some made by Quick Swirl or something like that. Pretty good on topwater
but sometimes have issues with the line getting caught in it with a popping cork.
Comes with our without swivel. 140 lb. test. They were free, so I don't have any
issues with using them. But I think Norton is betta.

I use 12 lb to 15 lb test line with light reels and light drag. Not worried about them
breaking.

Try taking the cork off. You really don't need it with a topwater bait, anyway.
