Default Big Lake Thanksgiving Weekend

3 of us fished from kayaks out of several launch sites all around Big Lake on Friday, Saturday, and half day Sunday. We caught 1 speck, a handful of flounder, and dozens of reds ranging from rats to 32?. Only used artificials, mostly white/chart on 1/8 oz heads. Fished the same areas this same time last year and caught over 100 trout and only a handful of reds in the same amount of time. Don?t know why it was so different this year. Such an awesome place to fish. I?m jealous of you all who live around there.

We fished Pelican Point in the yaks Saturday. I think we finished with 6 trout, 2 flounder and a bonus drum between two of us. Its always fun catching fish in the yaks!
