We fished the a.m. by ourself away from anyone.... Caught our trout then went rode looking for big trout.....
I would pull up to a spot where no one was even fishing and we would just drift to see if we could pick up some good fish

As soon as we stopped and got fishing a boat would pull up right behind us.... We would move places i never fished and still boats would just follow and come in.....
They had a boat going in...and saw us catch a trout...he stopped and killed motor and watched for 10 min

That's what fishing has become?? Don't find your own fish...let someone else find them and follow...

So I'm not posting reports till weekend end for me
I'm glad that wasn't me potlicking.
It's kind of like being on the lake with KVD, it's fun to watch him work.
Maybe W needs to be like Mike, he can scream and holler and dance every time he catches one. Pavaratsi fishermen, whoohoo!:*****:

W just rewrap your boat white and don't tell anyone. I know when I'm in big lake and a black haynie pulls up near the area I'm fishing, I feel like I might be doing something right lol but I would never intrude anyone.

I understand Dubya's frustrations. I'm by no means the best trout fisherman, but i was taught common Big Lake manners by the men that would bring me fishing growing up. Big Lake currently is almost a victim of CCA's success. Anyone with money to burn can go out and buy a shiny new bay boat and a gps spot map and go chase the trout that CCA has been so successful in bringing back. The problem is not that they aren't as good of fisherman as some of the others on the lake, but that they were never taught proper etiquette. Sure there are a few people out there that don't care about being courteous, but mostly it is ignorance. Cussing them and calling them pilgrim while you storm off will not make matters better. If someone rolls up on your spot and ruins it; the fish are gone. Might as well turn around and make the best of the situation and let them know what they did and how to remedy it next time. The more new fishermen we educate the better everyone's lake experience will be.

On another note, I also find it quite hypocritical to feel the need to post, brag, and boast about every fish you have ever caught, and then turn around and complain when people follow you to a spot... but thats just me.

You've obviously never fished with W - he is always screaming and hollering about something. Fishing is just a bonus on trips, I go for the entertainment!!

If a pilgrim messes me up... He will know...that is the only way to teach them to understand..... Best advice is don't fish next to anyone If you
#1...have no clue what your fishing
#2..... Don't have understanding of trout fishing
#3....if you look for boats to find fish....you need to give up fishing because your a lost cause

It sounds like according to some people on here that you can't fish Big Lake unless you have taken a course on how to properly spec fish. Whatever happened to newbies learning how to fish. Not everybody had someone to teach them how to fish or even how to operate a boat. My dad taught me fish and how to be respectful on the water. If take your child and try to teach them by yelling and screaming at them. They will not learn. They will tune you out and or get mad. If you take the time to teach them wether you know them or not they will be a much better boater and fisherman. I do know some people are just jerks and don't care. Some of this "potlickers" maybe watching you to learn the technics that are producing you fish. This is just my $.02.

When I fished wit him, no one else was brave enough to go out in that weather. We had the whole lake to ourselves. So I didn't get to see the fun stuff.

Good point!

That's why I gave you a couple of spots up north. Now stay out of Big Lake! LOL

At least everybody that knows me also knows I'm no threat! Hahaha

Lol. You starting to get bossy like weewacker. I'm definitely no threat. Wish I was but definitely not a threat. Maybe one day I'll get chance to try those spots out again in my own boat.
