Default Long night

Stopped at one of my jobsites this morning after mass , I noticed somebody had thrown a bunch of palm tree branches in my 30yard dumpster, this has been an ongoing problem and those dumpsters aren't cheap so I reached in and threw all the branches out on the yard, well one of the branches hit my ankle and barely punctured it. It hurt a little but nothing more than a bee sting so I continued to walk the job and went home. By the time I got home I had already forgot about it , ate a gumbo quesadilla ( btw it was tha shiznit) and took a nap on the couch. Man when I woke up my ankle was kinda black n blue and hurt like a SOB so I got up and could not walk it felt like my foot was on fire! Normally you have to put a gun to my head to go to the doctor but this really hurt so my gf convinced me to go to the hospital. 2 hrs later some X-rays they couldn't figure it out so I started to google palm tree injuries lol on my iPhone and found that sone really serious infections can happen . They gave me some pain meds. Cleaned it up , pumped me full of antibiotics and put me in a friggin 1/2 cast n crutches! I have to go back tomorrow n have em look again

Yep, I knows all about them palm tree needles bro. We get stuck often. The date palms are the worst. Its like hypodermic needles. Alot of times the little tip of the thorn breaks off inside. Depending on how deep it is, it usually stays sore for days, and sometimes a week or so. Ive had em go through my shoe before and break off. gotta get needle nose pliers to dig em out before you can take off your shoe. A stab to the head is bad too. I think my worst one that hurt the longest was the one under the fingernail. There is actually poison in those pe-con's, but you should be fine though.
