Default Vermilion Bay Westside 05/21/15

Got a call from a buddy late this morning to see if I want to go make a pass in the bay this afternoon. Picked me up around 2:30 and we were fishing for 3:00. Big north wind was pushing through as we were running out, and storms were building! Got soaked and didn't travel far. Got to witness my buddy's niece fight her first red and ended the day with 8 reds and a flounder! Not bad for hitting the bay for the first time this year. I didn't find the water was all that pretty and not salty, but it produced some fish.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1432267660.800398.jpg

Nice box. I'm going to hit the bay in the morning to see if I can scratch out a limit. Hopefully I have the same luck as u.

You might want to check the tide gauge before going out too early...

Looks like they have a good upcoming tide in the morning. I think it should be good.
