Default Caney Creek

Headed up there this weekend to do some camping and I'm gonna bring the boat. Anyone have any reports? Figured I'd try bass in the AM and bream/chinqs with the wife and friends during the day. It's been years since I've been so any info would help.

Bass are pretty steady in am. Brim/chin were really on a couple weeks ago, but kinda slowed down now. Enjoy, I am back to work so won't be out there for a spell.

Fished Caney today from 1 to 4pm...stayed on the north end near Browns landing ...I fish from a kayak and the wind was slight, but aggravating to me...Caught several bass almost right under the bridge on Red Alert Spinnerbait and blue chrome rattletrap....another boat was anchored out of the drive channel and was catching on chrome rattletrap with black back...he was using a 3/4oz and I was using a 1/4.

caught 6 bream and 4 chinqs on worms/crickets that I kept...lots of smaller bream released.

hope this helps
