well if i remember correctly, the only proof you had was two guys saying the duck APPEARS/LOOKS like a hybrid...

there was no scientific data to prove such hybrid.

Sorry we didn't take DNA samples.. But if you read the Expert opinion he states every feature and explains why it's that cross.. These features do not appear on any standard waterfowl.

I understand the Internet give all of you a chance to feel smart but just accept that someone whose life concentration is Hybrid waterfowl confirmed the bird.. When I shoot my 3rd hybrid I'll send it off and have DNA tests run for y'all. Maybe we can even have a party to announce the parentage!!

My uncle was the taxidermists that did the mount. He's been working in this field for 40+ years or so. He's mounted everything you could about imagine so I'd says he's pretty much seen it all. I talked to him about it for our family Easter get together and he went through every detail on the duck. He explained to mean exactly which part was leaning to a specific duck. This is a hybrid get over it, the only thing that could have been done next was to take DNA samples and have it tested compared to other ducks. You say he won't quit but neither will you. Also where did you receive your degree in hybrid waterfowl? Just curious for some one who is dead set on this being a GWT.

Hybrid waterfowl degrees? Where do you sign up for that?

Do they offer that in the school of engineering?

Technically it would be a Biology Degree with a focus on waterfowl and then you could specialize in hybrids after that.

Oh well if your uncle said it was a hybrid, then never mind case closed. Why didn't you say something before?!?
